Using Simple Grammar

At last i need to put some easy lesson about Grammar. Nervermind..hope this will help some of you out there..

Mungkin kiter kene pergi ke BASIC..but still i'm not really believe on this ( language only huh!!)
But..jauh di sudut ati..Grammar nie kene ada gaklaa..sbb penting..


Verbs are sometimes described as "action words". This is partly true. Many verbs give the idea of action, of "doing" something. For example, words like run, fight, do and work all convey action.

But some verbs do not give the idea of action; they give the idea of existence, of state, of "being". For example, verbs like be, exist, seem and belong all convey state.

Present : Simple, Continuous, Perfect Simple, Perfect Continuous

Simple Present Tense
cth : I sing

RULE : subject + auxiliary verb(kata kerja bantu) + main verb

+ (I, you, we, they) like coffee.
(He, she, it) likes coffee.

– (I, you, we, they) do not like coffee.
(He, she, it) does not like coffee.

? Do ( I, you, we, they) like coffee?
Does (he, she, it) like coffee?

this color : positive sentences
this color : negative sentences
this color : questions sentences

+ (I) am French.
(You, we, they) are French.
(He, she, it) is French.

– (I ) am not old.
(You, we, they) are not old.

? Am (I) late?
Are (you, we, they) late?
Is (he, she, it) late?

We use the simple present tense when:

  1. the action is general
  2. the action happens all the time, or habitually, in the past, present and future
  3. the action is not only happening now
  4. the statement is always true

Look at these examples:

I live in New York.
The Moon goes round the Earth.
John drives a taxi.
He does not drive a bus.
We do not work at night.
Do you play football?
